codexskin.best is an independent Codex skin guide and browser-based theme recipe builder. We are not affiliated with OpenAI, GitHub, Microsoft, Google, Ahrefs, Plausible, or any upstream open-source project referenced on this site.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
You may provide information when you contact us, send a copyright or privacy request, or otherwise communicate with us. This may include your name, email address, message content, and any information you choose to include.
The builder is designed to work in your browser. Images you select for preview and theme values you adjust are intended to stay in your browser unless you choose to download or copy an export file yourself. codexskin.best does not need your OpenAI account credentials, API keys, provider settings, tokens, or local Codex configuration files.
When you visit the site, hosting, security, and analytics providers may process technical information such as pages visited, referring pages and outbound link clicks, browser and device signals, approximate location signals, IP address and user agent in server or security logs, and interaction events such as clicks, scrolls, and feature usage.
2. Theme images and recipe exports
If you select an image in the builder, the expected behavior is local browser preview. We do not intentionally upload that image to our servers. If you download or copy a recipe, the file may include the settings or image references you choose to export.
Do not enter secrets, API keys, private account data, confidential work content, or sensitive personal information into the builder.
3. Analytics and cookies
We may use analytics and performance tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, Microsoft Clarity, and Plausible to understand how visitors find and use the site.
Depending on configuration, these tools may use cookies or similar technologies, process event data, create aggregated reports, or record interaction patterns such as clicks, scrolls, and page navigation. Microsoft Clarity, if enabled, may provide heatmaps or session replay features. We configure analytics to avoid intentionally collecting sensitive content and to mask user-provided inputs where applicable.

4. How we use information
We use information to operate, secure, and maintain the website; provide the builder, guides, attribution pages, downloads, and copyable recipe outputs; understand search demand and site performance; debug usability issues; respond to support, privacy, and copyright requests; protect the site, users, and third parties from abuse or illegal activity; comply with applicable laws; and enforce our Terms.
5. Choices, retention, and rights
You can control cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings. Where a consent banner or privacy control is provided, you can use it to manage non-essential analytics choices.
Local builder data remains in your browser unless you export or copy it. Server or security logs and analytics data are retained according to provider and configuration settings. Support, privacy, and copyright request records may be kept as needed to resolve the request and maintain legal records.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict, or request a portable copy of certain personal information, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
6. Children, security, and international visitors
codexskin.best is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We rely on reasonable technical and organizational safeguards provided by our hosting, infrastructure, and analytics partners. No website or internet transmission is completely secure.
The site may be accessed from different countries, and service providers may process information in countries different from yours, subject to applicable law.
