These Terms govern your use of codexskin.best. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
codexskin.best is an independent Codex skin guide and browser-based theme recipe builder. We are not affiliated with OpenAI, GitHub, Microsoft, Google, Ahrefs, Plausible, or any upstream open-source project referenced on this site.
1. What the site provides
codexskin.best provides informational guides, comparisons, safety checklists, attribution information, and browser-based tools for previewing or exporting data-only theme recipes for Codex-related skin workflows.
The site does not provide official OpenAI software, official Codex support, legal advice, security guarantees, or a warranty that any third-party skin, script, tweak, or repository is safe for your environment.
2. Independent and unofficial status
OpenAI, Codex, GitHub, Microsoft, Google, Ahrefs, Plausible, and related names may be trademarks or brands of their respective owners. References are for identification, compatibility, commentary, comparison, attribution, and user education only.
No third-party owner sponsors, endorses, approves, or operates codexskin.best unless expressly stated in a written notice from that owner.
3. User responsibilities and prohibited uses
You are responsible for reviewing third-party tools before using them; backing up and restoring local app configuration where appropriate; using only images, artwork, logos, characters, portraits, and brand assets you own or have permission to use; keeping API keys, account credentials, tokens, provider settings, and local files private; and complying with applicable laws, licenses, platform rules, and third-party terms.
You may not use the site to infringe rights; upload, publish, share, or distribute unauthorized protected assets; imply OpenAI endorsement, certification, partnership, or approval; distribute malware, hidden scripts, credential stealers, or unsafe local modification instructions; attack or interfere with the site; collect or expose another person's personal information without permission; or use the site where prohibited by applicable law or sanctions.
4. Theme recipes, user images, and local exports
The builder is intended for browser-side preview and data-only recipe export. A recipe is not an official Codex feature, not an OpenAI credential, and not a guarantee that a third-party tool will install or render a skin correctly.
If you select or export an image, you are responsible for the rights to that image and for keeping exported files secure. Do not include secrets, work-confidential content, personal documents, or other sensitive material in images or recipe files.
5. Third-party tools, links, and attribution
The site may link to GitHub repositories, OpenAI pages, documentation, tutorials, social posts, package managers, or other third-party resources. These links are provided for convenience and attribution.
We do not control third-party resources and are not responsible for their content, licenses, safety, availability, or behavior. Review source code, licenses, issues, releases, signatures, and restore instructions before running local tools.
Where we reference open-source projects, we aim to identify the project, source URL, license, and how it is used or linked. If code or assets are copied into codexskin.best, applicable license and notice requirements must be preserved.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the site, builder, recipes, guides, links, third-party repositories, or suggested workflows will be error-free, secure, compatible with your system, or available at all times.
Skinning or modifying local apps can create security, stability, privacy, or support risks. You use third-party tools and local changes at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, codexskin.best and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, system damage, account issues, app instability, or third-party claims arising from your use of the site or third-party tools.
